Spamassassin and postfix, for example, can be configured with one of the list member's pages (our very own Derek Jennings at Delboys Web Corner):
http://www.jennings.homelinux.net/mailserver_config.html (Good site for a lot of mandriva stuff) and with a bit of extra reading if you decide not to use postfix: http://www.softwaredesign.co.uk/Information.SpamFilters.html Take my word for it, do not waste your time trying to go 8.2>9.0>9.1>9.2, etc. It isn't going to work, with the exception of 9.1>9.2, which can actually be done smoothly. There are too many differences between libraries (gcc in particular is a pain) and from 9.2 to 10, kernels. And besides--you know that your current hardware works with Linux--that's half the battle won already. Enjoy the journey. Also, Turn off your "Reply To" if you post to a list. Bad form, that, but at least I get to be LIST NAZI for a day--sorry Joe. e
