I've noticed the same thing here with Kaffeine too Nate. Once you call up the 
program once, it will run in the background, even if you exit the program. I 
have to kill Kaffeine in KDE System Guard in order to get it to exit. I notice 
that it is eating approx. 30% to 50% cpu cycles too. I would have to assume 
this to be a bug. Anyone else out there seeing this?
Any solution besides not using Kaffeine?
