worse than I do...

after looking at ifconfig, I can see there is no DHCP server giving IP
addreses to your IP cards, so now we have to decide if you are going to
run an DHCP server on the Mandriva box, or assign each box it's own
IP....

Well, so much for my secret identity! You're right about the home-cooked meal part. et, but I wasn't lying about the adsl part, Mr. Smarty Pants!

It won't work on a dial-up connection, Mr. Glass Half-Empty! Nya Na Na Na Na!

On the other hand, it was a nice try for a free invite and meal! He He! Thanks Dude!

Now, as for the IP addresses, whaddya think? Go static? Rosemary would need a static IP for the Mandriva box anyway, and this would save her a bit of CPU and Ram for not having to run

I'd sugest the usual 192.168.0.1/255.255.255.0 for the Mandriva box and 192.168.1.2/255.255.255.0 for the Mepis box with that one using a gateway of 192.168.1.1.

Rosemary will have to use the DNS info from her ISP for this to work. can you walk her through it? I have to take off for a bit.
