Done. It mounts automagically and Nautilus opens the data CD. I can read
it as user. However

Been along time since I've used that alias partner, and
certainly not with 10.2 or 2006.0. So I tried just now (output
below). I don't remember it searching for cdrom devices like below
before, but that could be somethin new in cdparanoia, that I'm now
using a DVDrom, or the first miss was my burner. Or, that cooker
currently had some recent /dev/cdrom screwups, which I haven't fixed
yet.
So at this point Josenildo, I dunno. Are you sure the audio CD
you're tryin to rip has valid .cdda tracks on it ? This isn't a mp3,
ogg, or flac data CD is it? Sure looks like a media problem (004:
Unable to read TOC). Have you tried many audio CD's? I don't believe
you're experiencing a g-v-m problem, but it can't be entirely ruled
out either.
You might try adding the (man) cdparanoia option to the alias,
-v --verbose
Be absurdly verbose about the autosensing and reading
process. Good for setup and debugging.
