I have a CTX laptop that lasted me about seven years. It would
have been perfect right up to today had my wife not dropped it,
causing the hinge to break, and later the monitor to start
displaying weird lines. But that 233 MHz machine still runs like
a champ, although not well. It doesn't hold a charge long, but I
can at least unplug the box to move the power cord from one
outlet to another without the computer turning off.

More than I can say for my Toshiba Tecra 8000 that, although in
_perfect_ condition, cannot hold a charge for even a millisecond.
