Do you run a hardware or software firewall? If you are running a router
between your box and a broad band connection then that's probably the case
and it might be blocking the port being used by the bittorrent client. If you
have the firewall settings in Mandriva set too high that will also block the
port.
I have run Azureus in both windows and Mandriva, but have gone back to using
bittorrent version 4.0.1. Its running as I'm typing.
If you want to have a look at alternatives go to www.tucows.com
They have windoz and Linux software/ shareware
