When you asked before, I mentioned that the T20's that I installed on had a Savage card, and the driver wasn't provided on 9.2. It seems as though this may still be the case. If you type "startx" without the quotes, and it doesn't go, you will have to configure your vid card. To do this, type "su" and then the password for root when prompted. Then type "xf86config", again without the quotes. Follow the rather complicated instructions, and see if your Savage card is in the list (still assuming it really is a savage). If not, choose the generic video card, which has a max 640x480 resolution. After completing, try the startx command again. If it starts, you are going to need to go out to Google, and find the proper driver. Sorry, I can't recall where I got it, but it works. And by the way, the native screen resolution wasn't 1024x768, it was 1150 something (I think). To shut down from the command line type: shutdown -h now You shouldn't need root privileges to do this, but if something got messed up in permissions you will have to "su" to root first. shutdown -r now will get you a reboot. e
