Hi, Ted.  Others have told you about k3b, so I'll tell you about xcdroast.  
During the setup you had to tell it where to store recordings/images.  If 
you want to burn an image you have to drag it into that directory, then 
use the Write Tracks button.  It's fairly straightforward apart from 
getting the image into the right directory.  K3b is prettier, though ;-)
