You could always hang out in the IRC channel with us...

Never done that before - some more info - how - were - when - etc.
Thanks

You need a chat client - xchat or ksirc or somesuch. Then go to freenode and join #mandriva.

When the chat client opens you'll see a list of servers - choose freenode from the list. Not sure now how ksirc works. Then type #mandriva in the channel option - top bar in xchat, choose server, and type in the box you get when you click on it (from the drop down menu). Hope this makes sense :-)

Not yet - will be looking into this.
Thanks for responding.

IRC stands for Internet Relay Chat, xchat and ksirc are the method to use the IRC. I think ksirc is installed by default with KDE. If not just do "urpmi ksirc" in konsole as root. There is an xchat RPM download for LE/10.2 here - (and a link for 10.1)

Well, installed xchat - done your advice and had my first chat on it.
Thanks
