It wont....it just means Mdv is not setting it right. I've lost the begining of all your threads so I don't remember what release you're using. -It might be an idea to mention that when asking a new question.- 2006 has some major problems with hardware detection on USB, they'll show up as bugs pretty soon, I expect. :-/ Don't hold yer breath, tho. See if a live-CD will see the player (I can recommend Slax) .... then you'll know it isn't hardware-related and do send in a bug report to qa.mandriva.com. -- Good luck, HarM
