I don't see their point.  An empty reply-to, in normal circumstances, 
simply refers the reply to the original poster - exactly what gmail 
force by putting your address in their.  Beats me just what they think 
they are doing.

This does help.  For those that use kmail, though, filter your mailing 
lists to folders, and use the Folder > Mailing List Management settings 
to ensure that all replies go to the list.
