I don't know about the home icon launching amarok, but at some point in 10.1 (one of the updates, I think) my home icon broke. It had the app that Anne gives above, but kfmclient no longer worked. I changed the icon to instead launch: konqueror --profile filemanagement As far as I can tell, this does exactly the same thing.
