Hi Derek, After installation of 2006 on my desktop with ATI Radeon 9000 I had the same problems. Changing to a vesa driver was better, but still strange colours. It seems dat xorg-x11-6.9 is too buggy for the ATI cards. Go back to xorg-x11-6.8 or use the latest packages of xorg-x11-6.9 in Cooker.
