Hi everyone,

Just upgraded to 2005LE.
Problems already start when I want to open an xterm as user. It does not
open.

I also experience plenty of messages that, as user:
 -bash: /dev/null: Permission denied

As root I changed the permissions so I can open an xterm, and then I
see:

[EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]$ rxvt
rxvt: can't open pseudo-tty
rxvt: aborting

So... what is wrong and where do I fix this? And is there more that I
should be aware of that is coming to me?

I think we need more information here. What did you upgrade from, and how did you upgrade? I have two machines that I upgraded from 10.1 to 2005LE and I have not had any problems like this. One machine was an upgrade using the install CDs, and the other was an upgrading using urpmi and changing to 2005LE sources.

You should check that udev is running. (service udev status) If udev is not running, you will have problems accessing most /dev/entries.
