Hi,

I wonder if someone could help. I seem to have broken the icons on the
KDE menu. If I press the star button, the office, internet, multimedia,
system and more applications icons show as a blue folder, The home icon
shows correctly.

This happened after I manually added an entry to the video sub menu, and
tried to change the icon on that entry to one of the supplied png icons.
I had problems selecting the icon as it was greyed out. I originally
tried this by right clicking the kde star, and choosing menu editor.
When that didn't work I then tried doing it from MCC, system, select the
application menu. After that failed I then tried kmenuedit as root.

I have tried rebooting but I now seem to be stuck with the wrong icons.
I had a look on Google and in the newbie archive but can't seem to spot
a fix.

Any help/comments appreciated.
