It depends on what you buy. You can find the low end, throw-away
printers is almost every printer line. These are the printers you
usually find bundled with computer systems. If you don't do much
printing, I guess they are ok. (One of my sister has a printer like that
- the biggest problem she has is that the cartridges dry up because she
does not print often enough.)

Since it has been very informative all your feedback about the subject, this may be off topics, but would appreciate your input for the following.

I need to buy (urgently) 3 printers for end users.  Should be economy on its ink comsuption, fast printing (maybe one of them needs to be colored) and I should not expent more than $120 foe each.

Talking about good HP printers, I remember having a Deskjet 880C which worked 4ever.  Since I don't really know about printers what would be your suggestions maybe considering: HP, Epson, Canon and Lexmark?
