I sweated blood to interface an extra 4K of RAM {static RAM yet) just so I
could run Tom Pittmans Ity Bity Basic [cost me $8.00 came on paper tape :-)
I had a copy of Microsoft Basic on tape. But I got tired of loading it,
so I burned it to EPROM. But interfacing the memory was easy - I was
running a S-100 system, so I just added another board. (I upgraded from
an Altair 8008 to an Explorer-85. It took 4k of static RAM and 8K of
EPROM on the mother board. It also had a monitor in ROM. But it didn't
have as many S-100 slots.)
