Hi,

I tried to install mandriva 2006 on a computer with a tnt graphics card. No X windows. Browsed the list for a solution and found a few posts with a solution, "download the rpm's from 2005 an with rpm -Uvh --oldpackage *,rpm the problem would be solved"
.
I downloaded every 2005 file with xorg-x11* in a empty directory and used the command rpm -Uvh --oldpackage *.rpm and landed in dependency hell .

What is going wrong ?

Rene

SoS has the latest Xorg rpm's for 2006
http://seerofsouls.com/rpm2006.html

You'll have to download them and install them manually.
As you're using the rpm command, all related packages must be in the same argument (someone please correct me if I'm wrong)

#rpm -Uvh --oldpackage package1.rpm package2.rpm and so on
