I have already spoken to Ingo Klöcker, the kde-pim maintainer, who says that signed messages are already in two parts, and when Mandriva add the third part they break the message according to RFC 3156 (MIME Security with OpenPGP). To be correct they should put the whole "multipart/signed" message part into a "multipart/mixed" container and add the footer as second part to this container. He goes on to say that it is clearly a fault in the Mandriva mailing list setup/software. I think we can take it as proven, since the problem does not exist on Expert or Cooker. It is purely in the setup for Newbie.
Thunderbird, of course, is known to try to correct many common faults due to non-compliance, so I presume it adds the container before sending. Anne -- Mandriva Community TWiki - http://twiki.mdklinuxfaq.org/ Registered Linux User No.293302 - http://counter.li.org/
