on my computer, (2006powerpack)
this should only take setting up the connection in mcc (the mandrake
control center) [star> system> configuration> configure your computer >
login as root> *network and internet> share internet connections with
other local machines


*= some additional 'wizards' for mcc can be installed via urpmi
drakwizard, and they may be needed, so if you find you don't have all
the choices I am typing about, then as root "urpmi drakwizard" then
restart mcc

Ok. If that's the easiest way I can try that. So long as on a reboot I don't have to hit CONNECT each time as root.
