ET got an infinite number of monkeys to type out:
you know, I remember Joes first post, and it was an awful lot like this
one...
Oh, that cuts deep...the OP has got to be one of the most pathetic posts I've
ever seen, and *I* read Lanman's hissy-fit farewell.
it was meant as a left handed compliment (as in; 'look how far Joe has
come' a.k.a. 'award for most improved') with the idea that even a perv
like Ruhal-Ruhal might be 'enlightened' (like I was, like Joe was)
hopefully thrown in.
Ruhal ought to know, that even if he hides his philandering on his local
box (the one with his home folder) there is no way he could prevent me
from knowing what he was doing on any network were I had access to the
'gateway' or router he is going through, and I sure as hell ain't no
security 'xpurt, and I bet if his boss knows enough to support and use
Linux, he knows how to use tools like ethereal or snort.
Ruhal has a bit of a learning curve to learn to be descrete in Linux,
but he can start with creating (as root) a new user for his perving, so
he is not cruising the doggy date sites as the same user he is when
working, and he can learn that Linux is not x windows, and xwindows is
not the WM (window manger) and that KDE can be a previous M$windows
user's good friend cause it is like M$ in so many ways (I know Joe,
bloat is one of the main ways it is like M$win), but he can right click
and see the properties box at the bottom of the menu for files or
folders he wants to hide from prying eyes.
He might even learn, in the name of discretion, to figure some other
possible use for the same tech, like "I have a file with all my
passwords and usernames, how do I hide my files with all my passwords
and usernames (or trade secret information from anyone who might steal
my laptop, etc...) so that I can see them, but no one else can?" instead
of "how do I hide my porn and what I steal in the way of time and
bandwidth from my boss".
