I don't use the floppy often. Recently I have needed it to copy a few
files to another machine. Now, I can read or write one floppy disk, but
nothing on the second -- just a notice: "Floppy doesn't seem to exist anymore."
and "no floppy found in fstab or mtab. When I check either fstab or mtab
I get the fllowing result:
from fstab:
none /mnt/floppy supermount
dev=/dev/fd0,fs=auto,--,iocharset=iso8859-1,sync,codepage=850,umask=0 0 0
From mtab:
none /mnt/floppy supermount
rw,sync,dev=/dev/fd0,fs=auto,--,iocharset=iso8859-1,codepage=850,umask=0 0 0
Even if I just remove the disk from the drive, copy to another machine, and
put the disk back in the original drive, I get the same error messages.
Any ideas of what I am doing wrong, or failing to do?
Much thanks,
Bob
