It's likely not the mailing list server that's misconfigured here but instead the server at the bouncing site. All the mail that comes out from Sympa is marked "Errors-To:" and a properly configured server will send the error replies (such as bounces) to the address in that value. A badly configured server will send the errors to the "Reply-To:" or, as it appears in this case, the "From:" address. Send me the headers in one of the bounces and we'll see where it's coming from. But in my experience sympa deals fairly well with not passing on bounces to the whole list, and since not everyone is seeing the bounces I believe that the bounces are being returned to the sender. BTW: If the bounces were getting back to the list and redistributed to the list each bounce would be starting yet another bounce. This is called a "mailstorm" and is interesting to watch from the outside but hell to deal with from the inside, thus the flagging of list mail and bounce detection done by servers. ____________________________________________________ Want to buy your Pack or Services from Mandriva?
