I've recently tried to update Mandriva 2006 (free edition) and have found that one of the RPM signatures cannot be verified. As I (successfully) downloaded a whole pile of bugfixes, security updates etc, I was wondering if there is any way that I can clear any RPMs > that may have been downloaded at the same time as the errant RPM file (machine rebooted inadvertently), so that I can update my system to have the latest and greatest fixes etc.

Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated, as I finally got the system working the way I wanted it to....

Thanks

you might get more and better opinions on this if you had a subject line that indicated what problem you have, so I added it to this subject line. I doubt the sig file of the RPM is "bad" but it can not be verified by your system, I normally just say use them (continue anyway) as long as they are from a known good mirror. I would question loading bugfixs and normal updates (do the security updates) if in fact, your "system is working the way I want it to". (did you correct the inadvertent reboots? a Linux box should only _need_ to reboot due to a failure of the UPS and Main (external building power supply) That is, unless of course, like some of us, you subscribe to the logic of 'tweak it till it breaks', in which case I would load everything... and run cooker. as far as deleting files in urpmi that you don't use, urpmi will delete them automagically when you run it, unless configured to keep files. what command did you use to update or did you do it from the GUI in MCC> GRUPMI> updates (in which case doing that again should clear up the files, unless you have a broken lockfile you need to remove manually left from crashing during the update processes, which would prevent you from using urpmi at all.
