The format is officially called "Red Book CD".  If you use K3b to burn the
CD, start with the "New Audio CD Project" on the first screen.  Other CD
burning programs should have a similar choice.  The big thing is to make
sure you are making an Audio CD, not a Data CD.  The CD burning program
should do the conversion for you.
