Hi Andy

Well, I have an IBM Thinkpad Z60m with a built-in Broadcom NetXtreme BCM5751 
ethernet card, and 2006.0 doesn't have any problem seeing it. 

The card is definitely supported. Maybe you should try disabling ACPI.
