I'm not a mysql person, but the first thing I always check whenever I can't get something to compile is to make sure that I've got all the development packages installed. Do a "man urpmi" for a ton of options to play with. Also, go here: http://easyurpmi.zarb.org/ to install online sources. Much better. Just follow the web page instructions, its not hard. After that, as root, "urpmi package_name" will usually do the trick (although there are *always* exceptions). Also, I'd disable the CD or DVD sources once I got easyurpmi setup. So after you do all the above, and get it sorted out, then goto "configure your computer", software packages, install packages, and from its search field, look for "mysql". It should bring up everything associated with mysql. Pick all you think you need and install them. Hopefully, one will be the one you need.
