For mandriva 2006.0, to obtain the 1.5 version of firefox you need to
have configured your club (free) source as it is only available in
version 1.0 otherwise
If you keep your profile, you will also keep you various extensions and
theme, won't you? for the pluggins ... I don't know if there is an easy
way to keep them. However, for an upgrade from firefox 1.0 to 1.5 it is
recommanded to change your profile and to start from a brand new one.
You can copy in it your bookmark.htm file but it is better to install
again the rest (do you kown the extension mass installer?

the next urpmi --auto-select would update the firefox to 1.5.
