Two ways. If you have autofs loaded, just pull it out. Or if you
don't, a simple umount command should work.

Subject: [newbie] USB drive.
Hi,
I have a USB drive plugged into mdk2006. I want to plug it out. How
do I
tell linux to let go of it?
Thanx,
Ayoub

Since usb is PnP complient, you should be able to unplug the usb device directly (with the computer on) and mandriva should detect the change and apply it. However, since its a usb drive, i seriously dont recommend unplugging it while the computer is on. What i would do is shut off the computer and unplug it
