On a side note to this, has anyone actually got Kat working
- I removed it from mine but I can't remember why apart
from it just seemed to not work properly.

Dears,

My MDK2006 keeps crashing and hanging a lot. I get the Signal 11
error. Any idea how to figure out why?

Actually, the KDE Daemon is the one the crashes.

My System Info;

1. P4 3.4KHz
2. Motherboard Gigabyte 915G
3. Kernel 2.6.12.12MDKSMP
4. Power Pack, with KDE 3.4

OOzy, check your fans, the powersupply and cpu fans will cause this if they
freeze up. That would be my first guess and simplest solution. HTH

I think it is *kat* because the minute I hovered over its icon and
right-click on the mouse kded crashed. Anyhow, I uninsulated *kat* but
never used the computer long enough.

Anyway, I will keep you posted.

could be kat, and could be the kernel version you are running, and could
be that you have not gotten all the updates...
