So w/o another drive it is impossible: no space available to create or
install - no way. But can't you move a lot of personal data to DVDs? If you
do then you might create a big enough partition in the free space with
fdisk after defrag & check. Also in windows you can compress a lot. Plus a
lot of /win/system from (m)any upgrades can safely be removed (adjust
register accordingly).

Can be done with any install CD/VD's.

Yes: no need to install Linux in "C:\" drive. If you don't have a spare get
one: hd's are relatively cheap and they don't have to be new.

Why remove? Keep it.

If you follow precisely the instructions it won't.

Absolutely vital (in any system). All hard drives will fail eventually.
