Sorry I'm not being helpful, but could you please clarify what "X Freezing" means. I've had trouble (I think with opera, but not sure) with KDE/X knocking out the graphics and the keyboard (Looks like a freeze, but the mouse cursor moves - mouse buttons do not work though!)
