I have successfully mounted a windows shared folder on my dual boot WindowsXP and Mandriva 2007 system. Here's what I did:
- cd /mnt su mkdir <whatever you want to call the mount point> - mount /dev/<device> /mnt/<the name you called the mount point> Now the questions. As a user, I can't write to the share, just read. I've tried logging in as root and changing the permissions. Here's the share's permissions: drwxr-xr-x 5 root root 8192 Dec 31 1969 Win_Linux_Shared_Folder/ How can I set this so any user has full control? Secondly, will this mount be present automatically on reboot? If not, how do I accomplish this?
