Hi all
Had Mandriva 2007 for a while now and an extremely happy with it. I've
put it on a Dell C640 that I picked up on Freecycle. It didn't have a
hard drive so it gave me a chance to start with a pristine drive!
I tried Ubuntu, Kubuntu and Suse but came back to Mandriva because
everything just worked!!
My problem is that my wireless (built in Dell pci thingy) works
straight away at home alongside my iBook G4 which is my main computer.
When I go to my partner's house the Mandriva machine cannot even *see*
her wireless network but my iBook switches to it without a hitch
What is causing this? I've tried allsorts of password/security options
even turning off the encryption altogether but nothing
I'm obviously doing something wrong but as soon as I walk back through
my front door the Linux machine will see my network
Help!!
