Hi, I am afraid I am puzzled there (this is why there was a pause, did not help though...) I suspect you distribution does not use the same path as others (there is a huge amount of redundancy in most distributions with copies and links etc...) probably this has been eliminated in your installation in order to keep things small. I suspect you should use locate to obtain the missing paths (if that is the problem) and put them in your file section... I must pass for the rest and hope someone with more knowledge than I helps you. cheers Lionel --- Michael 'Crashmichl' Brenner <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Hallo Lionel, > > >Normally X (startx or whatever) uses /etc/X11/XF86Config > > It's on my computer in /etc/XF86Config > > >You can see the order in which it selects the config files by doing man > your x server (I only > >remember the one for 4.x.x) > > I just can find paths to the fonts, but no other. > > Michael > > _______________________________________________ > Newbie mailing list > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > *** To unsubscribe , or change message options, see: > http://XFree86.Org/mailman/listinfo/newbie
