Alexei, I could be off base here, but you might have a problem similar to what I had with the Xpert 2000 (not Xpert 2000 Pro). I have a web page that describes how to set up the Xpert 2000, because it is a common question on this list (http://two.ucdavis.edu/~holland/unix/xpert2000.html). It sounds like you have a slightly different card, but there's a chance that the same general approach might work. It is also possible, as another person mentioned, that a more recent version of X might do the trick.
