I have an old Toshiba Satellite 110CS laptop. I am using XFree86 3.3.6.

Does anyone know if the SVGA server using the ct65548 chipset can be used
to power the internal LCD screen and an external Sony VPL-X600U LCD Data
Projector at the same time?

The LCD projector didn't work with my working XF86Config (which works for
the laptop's LCD). The projector said "Frequency out of range" when under
X. (It displayed the console, non-X mode fine.)

I am unable to find any "Monitor" specifications for the LCD projector via
sony.com. Sony's website is unusable for a couple web browsers I've tried.
I found some specifications at http://www.francisav.com/vplx600u.htm; it
says:
Acceptable signal: fH: 15, 24 to 81 kHz, fV: 43 to 85 Hz

I am guessing that it can support standard VESA modes. (I don't have
the projector available to test at this time.) Should I also try the "IBM
Standards + other generic modes" (as found in modeDB.txt)? (I guess it
won't hurt try them all.)

So I made a XF86Config using the VESA Modelines that I found in the
xfree86/doc/modeDB.txt file.

My laptop's LCD monitor seems fine with:
HorizSync 15.5,24-81
VertRefresh 43-85
Modeline "800x600a" 40 800 840 968 1056 600 601 605 628

I see that the modeDB.txt file lists some Horizontal Sync kHz for these
VESA modes. Should I use these following VESA settings?
HorizSync 35.1,37.9,48,48.4,56.5
Or just use the settings suggested by the projector's spec?

Is there any suggested standard or VESA settings for the vertical refresh
frequency range?

Is there anyway to make my internal LCD screen use different
configurations than the external Monitor so they can both be used at the
same time?

I am hoping to try 1024x768 on the external projector even though it
doesn't work on the internal monitor. I was able to use 1024x768 on an
external monitor (projector not tried yet) by using the Function-F5 key to
turn off the laptop's LCD.

I couldn't find any switch or option to choose which XF86Config to use. So
to change configs do you just copy a new XF86Config in to place?

Thanks,
