I have just setup Slackware 8 and XFree86 4.1.0. I used the -config option to create
an XF86Config file which correctly found my GeForce DDR card, and seems to work well.
However, I am unable to change video modes with the <CTL> <ALT> <KPD+> and <KPD->. the
only mode I have is 1920x1440. I would like to select lower res modes with faster
refresh times.

Is this likely due to the XF86Config file not having any modes lines in it? The docs
say that there should be lots of VESA modes available in the driver. If so, I could
use some examples of what to add to the config file.

Or is this related to keyboard selection? xev shows the <CTL> key, then the <ALT> key,
and the <KPD+> and <KPD-> keys are recognized as long as the <CTL> and <ALT> keys are
not pressed. But if they are, then there is no event, presumably because X is
intercepting them.

Any help is greatly appreciated!
