Cygwin/XFree86 uses an entirely different server executable than XFree86.
Cygwin/XFree86 queries Windows for configuration information and accesses
your hardware in a device independent manner through the Win32 API, whereas
the XFree86 server must read detailed information about your hardware from a
configuration file.
