I'm totally new to Linux, but I've managed to get Red Hat Linux 7.2
distribution installed on my laptop.
Unfortunately, the GUI is totally toast. All I get is some flickering
vertical lines.

This machine is a Dell Inspiron 8100. The video driver 'card' is an
NVIDIA GeForce2 Go, 16MB, with a flat panel display that's supposed to
work at 1600x1200 dpi, 32-bit color.

Anyone have a similar machine working that can tell me what driver to
use and how to configure it?

I think the XFree86 version with my Linux 7.2 distribution is 4.0.3, so
I'm thinking I should upgrade to 4.2.0, but I see that the man page
specifically says that while GeForce2 is supported, GeForce2 Go is not
supported.

Thanks,
Martin Chaney
