Thanks for the replies. Both suggestions had been addressed. I will
try another description of the problem.
When host the files on what we will call computer 1 and am trying to be
a guest on computer 2 by: in the open file window, clicking on "hosts"
and the window shows no options (I even press the cntrl key and click on
"specify hosts" and get nothing). However, if I host the files from say
computer 2, through the LAN (off of computer 1's hard drive), then I can
go to computer 3 and when I click on hosts, up come the files and I can
use them (albeit very slowly). It is very strange. My goal is to host
from computer 1 and "guest" from the other 3 computers in the office. I
have followed the written instructions for sharing to the letter. Is
there another place to look?
