The voter files are indeed public record (who voted when, but of
course not how). But, they are kept at the county level and in a form
that isn't very accessible. There is in each state a voter file
vendor who has assembled the voter files and sells information from
it. The process is to export your list and give name and address
information to the vendor, who attempts to match it with the voter
file. The vendor will return your file with voter information such as
voting history, legislative districts, etc., You would import this
into an ebase file called impenh_.102 using the import wizard
accessed from the ebase admin screen.

A much easier way is to sign on to the Leage of Conservation Voters
list enhancement project. The national office in Washington DC
([EMAIL PROTECTED]) has programs in more than half the states. You sign on
to the project, provide the state coordinator with your list. Your
list gets combined with others in that state, matched to the voter
file. You are provided with an enhanced list and some degree of
technical support to get it tied to your ebase file.
