Marshall, Carl and Walt and Bob (off-list),
Thanks for clearing this up. I think this is what you're saying, but let me clarify
further... When you say that you "don't have to do the "extra steps" are you talking
about the install? Do you mean that FMP5 & ebase 1.03 will automatically link up, so
I/we don't have to do those steps?

I ask because I will indeed have to download it again. I had several problems due
initially to some misunderstanding and then to who knows what. Luckily, I have no
records in ebase at this time.

Also, I presume that (as before) instructions are on the website for creating a
desktop shortcut for the new version. With the new version will I have to open up FMP
first, find ebase and then open it or am I to understand from previous comments that
the way the new version links up, it now circumvents that step?

Dee and others,

Ebase v.1.00 and 1.02 ARE compatible with FMP 5, you just need to
convert the files by opening them in FMP5. With care, you can convert
your copy of ebase without downloading it over again. Directions are on
the ebase website FAQ page.

As I understand it, the new version (1.03) is just a converted copy of
ebase w/ a few bugs from 1.02 fixed. If you're still having problems,
go ahead and download again.

Carl
