Mr. McNamara-

ebase is tough to customize WITHOUT a copy of FileMaker Pro (although you 
may be able to buy a copy off Ebay...) so, here's ONE idea I found... (see 
www.filemaker.com for others)

This a FileMaker-based application called Church Membership Keeper Pro.  It 
is a runtime program (don't need FileMaker Pro)
and starts at $100 (US) for a single-user.

My opinion...buy FileMaker, customize ebase, and you'll have the capability 
of creating other databases AND still be able to use ebase and its powerful 
features.
