thanks ael, I mentioned information overload earlier...not just OSM, I'm on a new laptop and having to sort out the usuals, renew this that and the other and put into effect on the new machine a hundred and one things I couldn't or didn't bother to do on the old one. I use Firefox as it is and I'll give Thunderbird a shot too, thanks for the advice. Off mapping now :) Mut
Looking over your enquiry and Richard's reply, I wonder whether you realize that you would not normally use a browser to reply.
