Dear Velizar Velizarov, Thank you for your interest in the OpenStreetMap project. Your might be interested in contributing your geographic data to OpenStreetMap, and OpenStreetMap might be interested to include your geographic data. You will need to consider that any data that you contribute to OpenStreetMap will be available to all users of OpenStreetMap in future under the CC-BY-SA license and future licenses accepted by the OpenStreetMap project. That is to say that you will no longer be the only source for this material. Often geographic data is improved by other OpenStreetMap contributors. OpenStreetMap will have to consider the nature of your geographic data before deciding to include your data in OpenStreetMap. Data accepted to OpenStreetMap should be interesting, significant and permanent, as well as meeting minimum quality standards. Should you decide that you would like to have your data considered for inclusion in OpenStreetMap, the best thing that you can do is publish your data on your web site under either the PDDL or CC-Zero licenses. Then notify the OpenStreetMap community and if the data is found to be interesting somebody will include it. Many people find benefits from participating in OpenStreetMap in different ways. It would be hard to predict how each person values their participation in the OpenStreetMap project. The benefits that you find will depend on how you choose to engage with the OpenStreetMap community. Communication within the OpenStreetMap community tends to be person-to-person. Company-to-company discussions are generally held elsewhere. There tends not to be much in the way of direct company corporate advertising. Participation in the OpenStreetMap community is largely self-directed. Participate as as you choose in the OpenStreetMap mailing lists, IRC channels, forum, community meetings, mapping parties and conferences. Engage with other members of the community in ways that you find mutually beneficial. No membership is required. No fee is required. Please feel free to ask more questions.
