Park Royal Drive, here: http://osm.org/go/TZMgvYcdU-

has an unmapped cul-de-sac sticking out to the side, which you can see in Edit mode. There is no separate street sign there; it's a part of Park Royal
Drive.

Using Potlatch, I cannot figure out how to add that such that it is not a
separate entity (it should be a part of Park Royal Drive).

How do I do that?

Hi Issac,

Make the cul de sac a separate way, then give it the same name.

OSM expects a 'way' to be either a line, or a simple, closed polygon.
Self-crossings, bifurcations and self-intersections other than a
simple closed polygon are errors.

I did that. The two ways are still separate (they do not highlight at the same time when one is selected, as I expect they should). Will they "become one" at some future time when the server figures it out?

Also, the roundabout I added at the end has a pulsating circle around it when I select it in edit mode; what's that?

Isaac
