There are almost 15000 points in the OSM database that include natural=bay. There are 241 polygons that include natural=bay. Place a point in the bay, and tag it as natural=bay name=My Bay Name Chapmans Pool http://www.openstreetmap.org/browse/node/29686966 Useless Inlet http://www.openstreetmap.org/browse/node/415499825 Another alternative is to define an area that follows the rough shape of the bay, but is clearly on the water-side of the coastline. Timmonds Cove http://www.openstreetmap.org/browse/way/71444988 Baía de Todos os Santos http://www.openstreetmap.org/browse/way/48869314 Sometimes this doesn't work out. In this example, Blue Lagoon, it looks like the coastline was adjusted as better data became available, but the bay was left behind. http://www.openstreetmap.org/browse/way/26700877 _______________________________________________ newbies mailing list [email protected] http://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/newbies
