The original question was about saving off the data in a file. I wanted to point out that using Bing imagery outside the context of OSM is not allowed by the license terms of the Bing service. For example, if you wanted to use the traced data for another project, that wouldn't be allowed. - Serge I sincerely cannot believe that it is true, that ways/buildings traced while using bing imagery would not be under the normal OSM license, and therefore usable for whatever legal purpose outside of OSM. There would be no point in making data that was forever locked inside OSM. I understand that the imagery itself, while it is shown in Potlach, is exclusive to internal OSM purposes.
