Giovanni,

I echo some of the other questions about your research.
        My concerns are:
--You did not provide any advance notice
--You did not name the professor(s) who are principal investigators
--the link to the study is not a link to your university
--we are all slammed with the Nepal response, so many of us don't have five minutes I'm not worried about your questionnaire. Whether or not it is effective is your problem. I hope you worked with your professors to develop it. I can only hope that your research also recognizes that, while all volunteer organizations have limitations and are not perfect, the work that they do is important and valuable. And, I hope the research--while reaching for the unvarnished truth--is also done in the spirit of helping those organizations be even more successful.

Hi all,

Sorry for crossposting.
My name is Giovanni and I'm a researcher at University College
London, UK. I'm specialised in crowdsourcing research and in
the past have done many studies of OpenStreetMap.
I'm currently conducting a new OpenStreetMap study, and I'm
asking for your help. I'm trying to assess the extent to which
information on OSM is ever maintained or updated. Such knowledge
helps understand how to best support the OSM community with
appropriate tools.
I would be very grateful if you could give only 5 minutes of your
time to fill in a short anonymous survey. Your answers will help me
better understand your perspective in editing OpenStreetMap.
The survey can be accessed by clicking on the following link:

Your answers to the questionnaire will be stored securely and they
will be used only for research purposes. Confidentiality and anonymity
will be maintained and it will not be possible to identify you in any
way.
Let me know if, after having completed the survey, you would like to
receive the outcomes of my research, I will be more than happy to
share them with you once ready.
Thank you for your time,

Giovanni
